Changes to Proposed Plans
Matthew Adamczyk - Eagle Scout Project
-
Originally, the (tentative) project date was August 29 to September 23.
This was changed as the approach of the project grew nearer.
-
On first inspection of the site, there were multiple places in which ashes
from camp fires were sighted. At first glance, these seemed to be multiple
burn sites, but upon further inspection (at a later date), these were noted
to be dumpings of charcoal by careless renters of the site.
-
The original plan called for soil and groundcover to
be added to the areas of the cabin in which the soil had worn away. Unpon
consultation with the Head of Groundskeeping (Ed Thompson), is was decided
that, if suffcient volunteers remain at the end of the project, then they
would apply stones to the affected areas. This is a much more cost effective
and efficient solution.
